Airbrush Makeup vs. Lancôme Teint Idole 24hr. Foundation

Luis, on March 16, 2022 at 12:35 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7
Has airbrush makeup changed from 2012 to 2022? I was a beauty advisor for Lancôme… and LOVE 💗 this luxury brand. For my wedding I would like something extra luxurious…looking glamorous and flawless…. Is airbrush makeup an option or stay with traditional Lancôme foundation.

I have never got airbrushed makeup but from what I hear about it (YouTube) it is more like a blanket-like finish and it is also light. Since you want extra luxurious, glamorous and flawless stick don't do the airbrush. Also, since you were/are a beauty advisor and know more about makeup I'd say stay with the Lancôme foundation. If you are still on the fence do a trail for the airbrush makeup and see how it holds up before making a decision.

Airbrush is definitely more natural and may not show as well in photos. If you’re looking for glamour I’d go with Lancôme. I was a beauty advisor for Estée Lauder and plan on using the double wear stay in place Foundation for my wedding (I’m bringing it for my makeup artist to apply )

I respectfully disagree with the previous posters. Air brush make up is widely used in the wedding makeup industry these days and photographs very nicely. You just have to find an artist who knows their stuff. Glam is more about the eyes and the lips, which are painted on top of your base, which would be the foundation vs airbrush. In my experience, Airbrush just goes on so nicely and looks good both in person and photographs seamlessly. If you haven’t already, you may want to get a trial and then test out your foundation/makeup of choice in profession pictures (engagement photos, etc)

I got airbrush done for a friend's and it clung to every little hair, line, spot, dry patch on my face and I absolutely hated the way I looked in person. My makeup hasnt felt that cakey and heavy since I was applying it with my fingers in middle school lol. From other people's experiences this was probably an application issue on the artist's part, but I honestly wouldn't ever risk doing it again. See if your makeup artist is well-versed in airbrush and see if they'd be willing to do a trial with both so you can decide.

Trial for both… yes!! Thank you!!! I love makeup, never dress down…. I’m now adapting a natural and casual look so I can look different in my wedding day.

It also depends on where and when your wedding is. I’m getting married on the beach on 4/30 in FL. My makeup artist warned against airbrush makeup for outdoor weddings in warmer months. She said I’d look like I was melting after 15 mins and unlike traditional foundation, airbrush can’t be touched up so if you do sweat and it runs, you’d be in trouble
