Airbrush make-up

betty, on November 1, 2010 at 10:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

Has anyone had airbrush make-up? I am on the fence about it because I want my foundation to look natural, but I do like the idea of the air brush make-up lasting all day and being waterproof.

Thanks for any input!

Airbrushing is what is used on many models to make them look like they have perfect skin. It can come out looking all done up or can look very natural. Most places that do it will have a photo book you can look through, also if you attend a bridal show, they usually have a couple of makeup artists there and some do live demos, which would allow you to see the makeup in person.

I like airbrush makeup because it doesnt feel all 'cakey' like regular makeup could. I had my bridal trial and my makeup artist used airbrush makeup and i loved it. I wouldnt have it any other way. It lasted up until I took it off late that night from when I had it done that morning. And my look wasnt overly done either. I think you should definately try the airbrush makeup. It works good with pictures too.

I had airbrush makeup applied for our wedding about one week ago and I LOVED it. It looked very natural and lasted all day long. Here are some pics.

My uncle did Nicole Sheridan's make up in Desperate Housewives, is currently working on Vampire Diaries and has a whole resume full of movies and popular TV shows. He wont be able to make it to my wedding so when I was asking him this same question he had this to say:

If you are not going to spend extra money and you want to try something different, go with airbrush. A makeup artist who is really good at what they do will be able to get the SAME affects with makeup and probably be much more intricate.

So I'm going with regular old fashion makeup.

I haven't actually been airbrushed, but when I purchased my foundation at Sephora a few months ago, the mua told me that it was as close to airbrush you can get without being airbrushed. I'm in love with this foundation and wear it almost every day. It truly makes my skin look amazing and lasts all day and into the night. It's called make up forever hd foundation. When applied with a stippling brush, it lgives the air brush affect and looks amazing

Another bride mentioned that Sephora does airbrush make up on your wedding day for free with the purchase of a $50 gift card to reserve your appointment. I'm thinking I'm going to do that, although I haven't heard anyone's review of their services. I wonder if you can mess up airbrush make up.

Oh and Tiffany, I LOVE Nicole Sheridan!! Desperate Housewives sucks without her. I've been her fan since the 80s!

I use airbrush makeup everyday. I love it. I bought a Temptu airbrush system on Labor Day and I've used it everyday. My wedding is this Saturday and I'm going to use it for the wedding day too!

As a professional I do agree with Tiffany F, that you may achieve airbrushed look with regular foundations ( normally those foundations are not available in stores for regular customers, I have a great line that I'm using which is used on movie sets, print TV & commercials for that perfect coverage and HD effect), but regular foundation will not last as long as airbrush makeup and with regular one u will need few touch-ups during the day.

If you have oily skin and you wedding is in summer, i would go with airbrush foundation water base, which will give you that mate look.

I always use water based airbrush foundations on brides who wants to look flawless as if its their skin and not overdone.

the 2nd. option is silicone base which will give you more shiny look i would describe that.
