Airbnb for Honeymoon (Barbados or Caribbean

At first we booked our honeymoon at a all inclusive resort and realize we love being the locals while traveling. Did anyone book a villa or house located in the Caribbean for their honeymoon ? Please tell me your experience.

We haven't done the Caribbean, but we used airbnb for our last trip to Japan and it was AMAZING! Super inexpensive compared to the hotel prices, and the ten hosts (we were there for two weeks) we dealt with were all very accommodating, answering questions and providing directions.

I don't know if you've used airbnb before, but I highly recommend it!

You should definitely check local crime rates and emergency services available in any place you're looking at to stay in an airbnb

I definitely suggest Airbnb for your vacation. I went to Barbados a few years ago and stayed in a majorly overpriced hotel. Wish I would have done my own thing. We typically rent a condo in Hawaii and it always works out great.

We have used airbnb for all of our vacations in the USA. Never any problems. Just make sure you read the reviews before you book something.
