After wedding...what to do with flowers?

Has anyone done or is anyone planning to do something special with ceremony and reception flowers after the wedding? I would love to donate to a hospital or nursing home but I wasn't sure if they would accept them. I just hate the idea of letting them go to waste. Thanks!

    We had two bouquets. One went to the staff of the synagogue where we were married, and the other was given to the only guest who was local to the area. We didn't have floral decorations.

    However, donating the flowers sounds wonderful!

    I just had a party and dropped off flowers and balloons at the nursing home. They loved them.

    What I'm going to do with mine is get a shadow box picture frame and cut the heads of the flowers off after I dry freeze them and put them in the picture frame
