affordable wedding venues in MA or NH

Nicole, on June 3, 2014 at 10:06 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Hello! I am having a wedding in October of 2016, We are wanting to get married on the 2nd which is a sunday and saves money! The only thing is our guest list isn't exactly budget friendly. We have cut people out but we both have huge families, Italian and Irish. Including the bride and groom and wedding party (12 total) our guest list is about 200-220. We would like to have ceremony and reception at the same place and are open to ideas. We would like to do a plated dinner but are open to family style! Any suggestions on some venues...we are located about 20 minutes away from boston in the middlesex county area. We were thinking a $20,000 wedding but could go up to $25,000-$30,000.

Thank you! My fiance is having a heart attack with the prices but I don't blame him! We never thought the wedding would be this expensive but we also didn't think we had such a large list. This was with cutting people out too! Hoping to cut more people out and try for under $20,000 but when I'm contacting places these prices don't seem realistic for a 200 person wedding, especially when just the venue is around 15,000 for this amount of people then you need everything else!

We are using the Holiday Inn in Mansfield. We have about 100 people and a budget of $10,000.00 and the hotel fits within our budget. They have a great wedding package.

Try Endicott Estate in Dedham. It's a town owned property, I believe, so they're pretty reasonable for a mansion-style wedding. That large and you might have to go with a tent, but it can be really nice. You can also bring in your own caterers, so you can shop around for what will suit you best.

Otherwise, you're probably best with a hotel for that large a guest list.

Try the Hilton Dedham. I am having my ceremony and reception there and Angela (the wedding planner) is amazing and worked with us for our budget.

My sister was married at Lenzi's Millhouse in Dracut and it was really affordable and they had a nice area for an outside ceremony. Also, the food was phenomenal!

Another place in middlesex county is the Princeton Station in Chelmsford offers a big ballroom at a very reasonable price!! Food is delicious!

I'm getting married at Atkinson Country Club in Atkinson, NH. It's really pretty and they have 4 different rooms with different mins. I've heard nothing but great things about it so I'm excited. Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua is also nice, as well as Castleton in Windham.

The margate in.laconia has a beautiful ceremony site on the lake along with a ballroom for over 200. Or coild rent a tent outside. The catering through them is reasonable.as well.
