I did not find Catherine's in McHenry to have a very good selection at all personally, but many people in the Northern burbs love it! I grew up in Barrington and my parents now live in Crystal Lake-- so I'm pretty local

Group USA in Woodfield mall. Its all off the rack, brand new wedding dresses. I believe the originate from a Chinese wholesaler but are sold in store. I bought my reception dress there off the rack for $400...also, their prices are negotiable, yet even pretty affordable without getting into pricing with a sales rep. Lots of popular styles of dresses.
