Affordable Rehearsal Dinner

Kristan, on July 27, 2018 at 4:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

Hi All! We are getting married at our house in a little less then 2 months. I don't know why I didn't really think about the rehearsal dinner until now, but I need help! We are paying for the wedding ourselves and are basically maxed out as far as the budget is concerned. What are some cheap, but classy, rehearsal dinner ideas. I don't want to cook because I do not want the house to get messy. Also, BBQ is out because we're having it at our wedding. HELP Please!

Pizza, bagged salads from the grocery store, cheap beer & wine.

Classy usually means more $$$ - maybe Italian catering? or fajitas?

We're meeting at the church to do a run through and then if everyone wants we'll be going out to eat after. But we're not paying. If you're doing the rehearsal in your yard I would do something simple like a taco bar or pizza or bbq

Olive Garden is pretty affordable, they have catering packages. For $300, we're feeding 25 people, it comes with salad, bread sticks, 2 entrees, 4 desserts, beverages for all & utensils,

Restaurants have pretty affordable catering, as others have mentioned pizza and tacos are also rather cheap.

    Classy definitely = $$$

Keeping it casual will keep costs down immensely.

Do you need to have an actual rehearsal? We don't have a BP, so no rehearsal necessary. Ergo, no dinner needed. Savings all around!

We aren’t having a rehearsal dinner per say, we don’t have a bridal party. But my FH and I are getting pizza and wings and having all our family/out of towners over to his parents house for a fun night with food, cards and just enjoying company of the people we don’t see often. It’s our way of saying thank you!

What about catering from Olive Garden, Chipotle, or something like that?

You don't really need to have a rehearsal dinner if there is no rehearsal... They're really not necessary, I'd just skip it (especially if you don't have a large bridal party)

We have our walk through at our venue and then a family member is letting us use their yard to have a cookout, we’re providing all the meat and everyone offered to bring a side dish

Do barbecue. It's affordable, you can get it catered, and everyone loves barbecue comfort food!

We’re most likely having a taco guy come out to my fiancé’s house and having people over there. And supplementing with salad and fruit and such.
