Affordable hair and makeup? Plus minimums?

Hi ladies just wondering what is the average price for bride hair and makeup? What about for bridesmaids?

And have you met an artist that doesn’t charge a minimum amount of girls or no minimum dollar services needed or no travel fee?
Seems to be hard to find someone who will just do mine cause I don’t know how many bridesmaids will be open to doing theirs yet and won’t know until maybe 6-9 months before my wedding date

I think the only way you are going to avoid minimums and travel fees will be to get your hmu done at a salon.

I agree with Cece, if you're not going to ask the bridesmaids about hair and makeup yet the only way to avoid minimum is to go to the salon. I would honestly just ask your bridesmaids now what they think they want to do. Anyone you book will need to know the estimated amount of people being worked on. I asked my bridesmaids about hair and makeup a year in advanced so I could book someone and they all said yet. Just give them an estimated price. In Cleveland bridesmaids were about $80-100 for each service.

Travel fees might be unavoidable depending on the area and artist(s) unless you go to their salon. Some places may not have a minimum, but a lot of the ones I looked at did charge less per service if the group was bigger. I'd suggest asking around for quotes, and if you find someone you're interested in booking with who would need to know who wants hair and/ or makeup done, that would be a good time to reach out to anyone who you'd be including on the morning of your wedding.

Unless you go to them there will be travel fees. You might just have to ask your bridesmaids now. I had to ask mine a year out to book. I paid $1500 for myself and 4 others. I picked someone on the slightly higher end. You can try to see if someone will book with you and allow you to add people on up until a certain point

Mine will be for free because my sister is doing my hair and my mother is doing my make up. If you have any family members that are good with it ask them to do it

Price depends on where you are located. Even in the same city, no two brides will pay the same prices. You have to call around and do research to see who is the best quality stylist willing to work with your budget. You have to ask what their additional fees are, and often the only vendors who do not charge the additional fees will be low quality stylists.
