Affordable Bridesmaid Dresses

Megan, on October 18, 2017 at 4:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27

Hello all! I'm new to forums. I was wondering if any of you had advice about where to find reasonably priced bridesmaid dresses. We have 8 (yes EIGHT) bridesmaids that live across a couple of states, so it makes coordinating a bit difficult. I have looked into weddington way and requested a swatch, but I still haven't gotten it in the mail (ordered 2 weeks ago). I have heard good things about amaze, but neither their "mint", "turquoise", or "spa" colors match what I'm wanting (like in the picture). Should I hold out for weddington way, or suck it up and purchase from a bridal salon?

    Did you try calling them?

Edit: I am an idiot and commented before I read the whole thing.

Don't limit your search to "bridesmaid dresses" Search for a dress that you and the BM's like. A slight shade difference one way or the other is not something to get hung up on, if budget is a concern.

What style, length and color are you hoping to find?

I have heard terrible things about weddington way and steered clear of them. You may look online at rent the runway, vow to be chic, or union station for great designer rental options for your girls!

I am thinking like a Dusty Rose (the one on Azazie). Maybe order some swatches from Azazie to see if it is different than the pictures?? I have heard some great things about them as well.

@P I ordered several fabric swatches from Azazie and they came very quickly! I know several people who have had a great experience with them!

@Kati That sounds like a great idea. There is a local shop here that carries those as well Smiley smile

Hello bride who I don't know Smiley tongue

I found spa at David's Bridal. It's a little darker that the WW color, but it might be something to consider if you're stressing.

I was in a wedding where we all lived in different states. We did Azazie. For my wedding I also had everyone living in different states. We used Davids Bridal--one of the Vera Wang styles!

Try ever-pretty.com. They have a lot of dresses from $10-$80 bucks and they are beautiful! My girls are getting their dresses from there.

I have 8 too, and a Man of Honor. I used Azazie. I told them to pick any style in Chiffon and either Navy or Burgundy for the color, there are 4 bridesmaids in each color. Everyone did custom sizing and they all came out gorgeous! You can also order matching ties for the groom/groomsmen, and sashes or shawls in the same dyelot. Use a Facebook group or something to coordinate and give them deadlines. My friends are awesome, but it can still be rough to wrangle thoughts and opinions out of that many ladies. If you want everything in the same dye lot you can order them yourself or have them do if you trust them to do it in the 24hr period. You'll have to measure them or have them get help from someone else to measure and get the numbers to you for the order. It was a bit of work, but all my bridesmaids love their dresses and they fit without alteration! Every dress is $160 or less as well.

ETA: As other have said, order swatches. Additionally, do the try-on method ($10).

I had bridesmaids that went a completely different direction with their style when they tried dresses they initially loved on.

We found our bridesmaid dresses at Macy's. They were $90 originally but I know at least 2 of the 3 people used coupons and got them in sale so they were less. I've also heard good things about Lulus.com. I ordered 2 dresses from there when we started looking but then we found the ones at Macy's that everyone liked better. The quality seemed good and there was a lot to choose from. They have a section of bridesmaid dresses and also a ton of other dresses that could work.

You don't have to look at only things labeled "bridesmaid dresses." Any dress that you like be good.

Have you looked into Allure Bridal? That's where my BM and MOH dresses are from.

Since you don't all live together, if you have a swatch or a couple color options, send them all the color(s) and what length you want and then have them pick their own dress, as long as you aren't set on them all being in the same dress. If you are, then I suggest azazie or davids bridal or somewhere you can order online
