Affordable Ball Gown designers

Joselin, on August 29, 2019 at 3:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

I have not stated dress shopping and probably wont until February or March i do know i want a big ball gown I'm talking about the big princess poofy ones. I might look into getting a second dress to change into since i know ball gowns can get quite heavy. My question is what are some affordable designer for the big traditional ball gowns? I would like to spend under 4000 on my dress.

Martina Liana has many ball gowns between $1,500-$3,000.

This is mine. Martina Liana Style 885. It was under $3,000 from a local bridal shop.

If your budget is $4,000 you will have a ton of options! Do you have pictures of the styles you like? Do you like a lot of bling or lace or tulle?

Maggie Soterro, Sottero and Midgley, Stella York (maybe), Rebecca Ingram, Kitty Chen...

A thought: what about a dress with a detachable ballgown skirt OR a 2 piece that you can change the bottom on? Might save $$.

For a $4K budget you have a lot of options!

For $2K or less, try Morilee, Allure, Moonlight Bridal. For under $4K try Demetrios, Justin Alexander, Essence of Australia/Martina Liana. All great designers.

I would say Morilee by Madeline Gardner is your best bet! So many beautiful ball gowns by her. Otherwise Sophia Tolli is another great option!

I'm not super knowledgeable about designers, but you'll definitely have a ton of options with that budget!

Not sure if you've been to any bridal shops yet or have tried different silhouettes on, but I'd recommend doing so--you might be surprised at what you like.

I personally ended up with something similar, but different enough, to what I originally had in mind, and I'm so glad I went in with an open mind.

Even though I didn't want a ballgown, I tried one on and found it to be quite light, which was unexpected! It was also really soft and sparkly. Smiley smile I can definitely see the appeal and hope you find one you love!

While I ended up with a sample sale dress, at the shop I went to, they said new dresses custom ordered to your measurements would take 4-8 months to come in. Alterations and fittings begin 3-4 months out from the wedding.

    Good luck!
