Advice regarding a dance floor

Jocelyn, on March 21, 2020 at 8:02 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hi all! My wedding holds approx 120 people which I know we will be close to that number. So I was thinking of having the tables spread out and then when dinner is done moving the tables to make room for a dance floor.. what does everyone think?! There would only be about 6 tables that would need to be pushed back and I would make sure that those sitting there are more “lenient”..

Ooo I don’t know how feasible that would be though? There’s no way to already have a space open before hand?

Does your venue have a coordinator or someone who helps you with this? Our venue was able to space the tables around a dance floor, so there was no need to move anything.

This is a hard thing to do, because people eat at different speeds, or like to go back to their tables to rest... plus there's dessert.

Not really sure.. it would prob be somewhat open but kinda tight so I figured we could move them a little bit to create more space

True. We do have a coordinator who is available through the night.. I feel like it just might be a little small of a dance floor. Maybe have my coordinator move the tables as people start to go out on the dance floor?

I think you should speak to her about arrangements, before talking about moving tables.
