Hi, Don't mind my under garment in this picture! Lol I took my dress to my seamstress yesterday for alterations and realized, especially once it was bustled, how heavy this dress is and was researching today ways to take the weight off the dress. I came across 'seatbelting" or "waist staying". I know typically this method is done on strapless gowns that have a bit more material in the back, but I am wondering if this can be done on the type of dress seen here, perhaps a little bit lower? My seamstress doesn't seem to think so but I thought I would seek out some other opinions.
