Advice on father daughter dance song

Leah, on June 7, 2017 at 1:12 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

So I originally wanted to do the song My Girl by the temptations for the father/daughter dance. I loved it because it was more of a fun song rather than a sad song. I started to really listen to the words and looked up the lyrics and it sounds more like a couples song.. is there maybe another version of this song that's meant as a father/daughter or should I just ditch that song completely?

I mean you don't have to ditch it if you don't want to. The father/daughter dance is such a personal choice between a bride and her father. Talk to your dad and see if he has any ideas. Dance to a song that both of you like/love/want to dance to. My dad and I are dancing to "Daddy Dance with Me" by Krystal Keith.

I'm doing Just Fishin with my dad(half a song), then half of perfect Fan by Backstreet Boys with my Step-Dad. But my favorite is Forever Country and I'm dancing to that with my Poppop ( he helped raise me until I was 10.) Forever country has nothing to do with him being my Poppop its just a great song and he's the reason I love country music.

As long as there is no "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters! Sounds like a great choice.
