Advice needed! Bridesmaids dresses and tablecloths - too matchy? 2

Hi ladies,

We are getting married 12/18/21 and after a lot of time on Pinterest, we decided to incorporate a purple color scheme (with taupes, lilac and plums) into our wedding. After what felt like ages, I decided on the Morilee bridesmaid dresses in French Lilac (one is shown above). Today, I just met with the linen vendor and I LOVE the moody purple color for the tablecloths and the taupe for the napkins. But now I’m taking a look at it all together with the bridesmaids dresses and I fear it’s too much. Is it too matchy matchy? Should I reconsider the tablecloths?

Generally, I would say it's fine. I have 5 bridesmaids and like 15 tables, so once the bridesmaids are mixed into the reception venue I don't think anyone would even notice the color similarity. If you are having a small wedding with a lot of bridesmaids, maybe it would be more prominent.
Are you doing a head table or special table for your bridal party? You could always do their linens in another color if you are concerned. Or you could swap the colors and do taupe tablecloths and purple napkins if that's an option.

Since you’re asking for opinions, my preference would be to have table runners or napkins in the purple with a different color (white/cream) tablecloth. But you do you!

I was also going to suggest taupe tablecloths and purple napkins.

They are pretty but only you will notice or care if they are the same color. Most guests will think it’s pretty but not necessary to be Pinterest matchy. Do whatever makes you happy within your budget.

I loved dusty blue table cloths, but I didn’t like the idea of my bridesmaids in their dusty blue dresses just blending in with the tables. So, I did the opposite and had neutral table cloths with dusty blue napkins. Still got the hint of the color I loved without it being overwhelming
