Advice for bride with stretched ears!

Sarah, on October 13, 2019 at 4:45 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hi all! I’m getting married next October and I want to start getting ideas for earrings! My ears are stretched to 5/8ths. I am also allergic to nickel, so it’s not as easy to find things that won’t infect the crap out of my ears. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding 4 years ago, and she bought me a cute pair of nicer plugs for her day from I think Etsy, but they destroyed my ears and I had to take them out during the reception. I don’t want this happening for my day but also want to wear pretty jewelry in my ears! Any advice would be so so much appreciated!

I went to a wedding not long ago & the brides had stretched ears. What she did was add a dangle earring to a really pretty fake flower, a daisy because that was the theme. It looked so beautiful I wish I had a picture

I bought plugs from The Plug Parlour on Etsy for our wedding and they're gorgeous. I would reach out to her and ask if she can use nickel free materials.

I am also allergic to nickel and had stretched ears. I found wood plugs worked great me (and added bonus: they also prevent odor).

When my ears were stretched I use to put dangle earrings on and the put my regular plug in after. The plug would sit on top of the hook for the dangle earring if that makes sense. Or if you wear the kind that creates a hole, just put it through the hole and bend the hook some so it won’t fall out.

Could you do an ear cuff or something like this? It might hide the hole while keeping the weight off the stretched lobe area.

This is super pretty! I don’t want to hide my ears though. I actually love having stretched ears and want to wear something that shows that off but also doesn’t infect my ears too much!

I’ve been thinking about this actually! If I don’t find something specially made for stretched ears, I will do something like this definitely!

That’s awesome! I actually know someone who bought regular plugs and bought her ideal earrings and just got off the part that goes into your ear and glued them together. Literally looked like they were purchased that way! Love the idea of a DIY
