Advice? E-Rings/Swimming Pools

I work at a daycare where we take the school-age kids to a pool twice a week in the summer. Obviously I can't wear my engagement ring those days, but I hate having my finger naked- the symbol of the ring is really important to me. I'm not married, so I'm not sure if a Qalo-style ring would be...

Obviously I can't wear my engagement ring those days, but I hate having my finger naked- the symbol of the ring is really important to me.

I'm not married, so I'm not sure if a Qalo-style ring would be appropriate.

Does anyone have any suggestions on an alternative ring? Do you think it matters if it looks like a wedding band rather than E-Ring? Should I invest in a cheap sterling-silver ring for my pool days?

I have a silicone ring that I wear when I'm working out and will wear to the beach when we are on our honeymoon. I have a ring dish on my nightstand and in the bathroom, and I take my ring off before getting in the shower and before going to bed. My SIL lost a diamond from her band and so I'm really careful about taking care of my ring, it's too important not to!

So qalo bands are great, but just so you know the off brand ones are exactly the same. and they're a lot cheaper and you can get different colors. I have a pack of 8 that's multi colored, and I tend to wear that more than my actual rings.

I have a silicone ring that I wear to work, beach, pool, working out. When I know we're going to have a busy day at work, I won't wear anything.

    Just get a silicone ring.

There is no rule that only married people are allowed to wear them.

Ladies, don't wear your rings to the pool or the beach.

I am a competitive swim coach and water polo coach part time and seriously couldn't imagine wearing my e-ring. My finger felt naked without something though so I got a qalo and I love it!

I got a Groove ring to wear when I go to the beach or gym. https://groovelife.co/pages/mlp

They are more breathable than other silicone rings, and they will replace it if you lose it, break it, etc.

I'd definitely recommend a Qalo ring. I recently got one of the stackable ones and wear it when I go fishing or swimming. It was a really reasonable price. I wouldn't want to risk losing my engagement ring or any of the stones in the water.

    Don't do it. Too risky.

I bought an off-brand Qalo ring on Amazon. It's mainly for when I leave on Monday for basic training and I try to remember to wear it for OMT labs at school. I take my ring off for showers and swimming!

Just because your ring is insured doesn't mean you want it to get lost. I wouldn't wear my ring in the pool or ocean for a bunch of reasons, sand can scratch it, If you take it off at the beach it could get stolen, if you put sunscreen on, buildup. Sand could scratch the stones or get caught in the setting and the salt could discolor your ring. My ring was a lot for us, not to some people but I love it and it's custom and it's insured but I'd be devastated if I lost it.

I leave mine at home when we go to my parents house to swim. chlorine can cloud your diamond. I also take it off when cleaning at home, certain chemicals can cloud your diamond as well......when im done i wash my hands and put it back on. if you really want something you could get a qalo ring for these kind of activities

    Sorry for disappearing-

A lot of PPs are recommending a silicon ring, and that's what I've been leaning towards, so that's what I'm going to do.

I know not wearing it doesn't make me less engaged, but the symbol is really important to me.
