Adobe on dress?

Megan, on February 1, 2020 at 6:15 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
So I said yes to my dress! I love it other than puffiness. Adobe on dress? 1

Adobe on dress? 2

I’m a bit bigger and I’ve been trying to lose weight. I’ve already lost 15 lbs since the pic but I did not like the puffiness. They had me do the whole test where I put the crinoline between my legs (see pic). Do you think this is good? I do not want a puffy dress. Having second thoughts on type of dress. Help. Am I overthinking?

You're over thinking. This doesn't look puffy. It doesn't have a ball gown look to it but if it bothers then maybe ask a seamstress about it?

    Hi Megan,
Congratulations on your engagement, and on losing 15 lbs., yes, your overthinking, the dress is GORGEOUS, as Kristen said, talk to your seamstress, I'm sure any puffiness you don't like can be altered, you'll be a stunning 👰 wasn't dress shopping fun? I tried on 30 dresses before I found my dream dress, it's a Stella York, style 6979, if you care to see it! Good luck!!

I'm not seeing the "puffiness," but I agree removing some/all of the crinoline is typically one of the easiest alterations possible. Also, you might want to consider a possible "benefit" of a more full skirt/crinoline is that it provides great "balance" of proportions -- making a waist look tiny (as compared with a more straight up-and-down silhouette). With the wedding not till September, you probably don't need to worry about alterations until around July. I'd wait and see how you're feeling at that time. A professional alterations person will be able to give you good insight into the pros and cons of any changes you're considering. You look beautiful! Smiley heart

Thank you so so much. I think it’s hells I had the crinoline between my legs too hahaha. But ya it’s not a huge ball gown I know I would hate that on me.

That’s a great idea! I’m sure one e I’m where I want to be and once it’s closer to the wedding I will have a better idea how I feel. I just wouldn’t want to ruin the dress in any way. Thanks so much for your reply. ❤️

Thank you all for the feedback sometimes I guess I just need somebody from the outsides option and confirmations of what I was thinking seeing (somebody other than my mom his mom and my sister) haha. You are all so sweet and so helpful. Thank you for taking the time to reply to this. Also I have no idea why my title says “adobe” 😳 it’s so supposed to say crinolage. I must not have had all my coffee yet, sorry about that. I’ll update when on my desktop. THANK YOU all! ❤️
