Addressing guests with plus ones

Jennifer, on June 14, 2021 at 2:46 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Not sure how plus ones are usually addressed in rsvps. Only certain guests are receiving plus ones. For guests who are receiving plus ones, can I address the envelope as “person’s name and guest” and then on the rsvp I am adding a spot where I can write in how many seats are reserved, could I put 2 in that space? One for the guest and one for the plus one. And then would they write in the plus ones name along with theirs? This is all new and confusing to me. Thank you!Addressing guests with plus ones 1

I would say put "name and guest" on the outer envelope. At least that is what I am doing and that is what I have seen from some of my friends in the past. That way your guest knows for sure they can bring someone. But putting the number of seats on the RSVP is also helpful. As long as it is indicated somewhere you should be good.

Like Sara said, "Name and Guest" on the envelope will let them know that they get a plus one, and the #2 on the seat number lets them know that as well!

Only do "and Guest" if they can bring any random person they want. If they have a significant other, you should write that person's actual name.

Definitely put "and guest" on the outer envelope. I would think it was a mistake if you only put a 2 in the reserved spot section!

Agree with Jasmine’s post. Put “and guest” on the outer if you’re just giving someone a plus one (a guest of their choosing). If you’re inviting a significant other, their name should also be on the invitation.

I didn't want to do "& Guest" on the envelope so I added a Plus One Card to the invitation. I also removed the M__________ from the RSVP card bc I did not address envelopes as Mr & Mrs. Smith. Rather than the M I replaced it with Guests.

    Here is my RSVP Card:

And here is the Plus One Card:

Don't over think it. . .Good Luck!
