Right now, things are completely open where I live and people are pretty much living like normal. But with the potential rise in cases with the new variant, I’m wondering if we should address it somehow- like if people have symptoms at all or should they get tested or things like that. To me it’s obvious that if you’re sick with even the cold right now then stay home, but there’s several guests that I’m sure wouldn’t think that’s a big deal.
What do you guys think?

Myself and most of my bridal party are immuno compromised. I will be asking the the small number of people we are inviting to have their flu and covid vacinations done before they come. I am thinking of providing everyone with a covid test so they have that as well. We maybe asking them to mask depending on whats going on at the time. My family and friends are well aware of our opinion. I guess if our request for our wedding day request offends a guest then maybe they didnt really care about us like we thought.

I was going to respond to this, but changed my mind.

As long as the coronavirus spreads through the population, mutations will continue to happen. The unvaccinated portion of the population represents the largest "infection pool", first because they are more likely to get the virus, and secondly because they stay ill longer. Please please check the facts.

ETA: Theresa edited her comment after the fact, and I'm responding to what was originally posted.

That's completely untrue. Try researching before you insist you are correct, and saying that others are spreading misinformation. Those who had Covid, and those who are vaccinated, are just as likely to cause mutations.

Quickest lay article I could find:

    https://www.businessinsider.com/unvaccinated-people-are-variant-factories-disease-expert-says-2021-7

There is a mountain of evidence about this. I can see that facts are useless here though, but I'll just leave that one article.

Absolutely not. And I would not pay to have a test done for a wedding. Nor would I upload a photo of my vax card. If this couple doesn’t trust me to not come to their wedding Ill, they don’t need a large monetary gift from me 🤷🏻‍♀️ So disrespectful. People are beyond self righteous for trying to do this at their weddings like people care enough. I blame the media

And now try searching Do Vaccines Cause Mutations for even more facts. Mountains of evidence for that, too. Now, who might be more open to accepting facts, the person who said Sure, That Causes Variants But So Does This, or the one thinks only one thing could possibly be at fault? And this is why I said I changed my mind. No point in bothering with some people.
