Hi everyone,

How are you addressing COVID-19 precautions, protocols, and requirements in your invitations?

My original idea was just to have a line that directs people to our website for guidelines, since the situation is still fluid and will likely change in the next few months. But some family members believe I should have a detailed insert.

I can see an argument for both, and thus I'm torn. Would love to know what others are doing. Thanks!

There are definitely other ways to get the word out, including keeping family in the loop!

Very helpful, thank you. I definitely want our guests to know we will be as cautious as possible. Similarly, a lot of venues nearby were bending the rules. Ours most definitely will not be though.

Definitely understand your points. We have a lot of older people on our guest list who may not be as tech savvy, but I don't think they will attend.

I like the idea of something to check off. Almost like, "I have read and agreed to these terms!"

That definitely makes sense. If your state or county has requirements for a negative COVID test or anything like that, it may be a good idea to put that on a small insert. That's especially true if you have COVID deniers being invited. Make extra sure they know what's up, right?

From my recent and insane experience, just direct people to your website.

I thought I was being helpful by detailing exactly the state requirements on my invites (covid test 48 hours prior to the event) but some people who are on the side of "COVID isn't real" lost their minds at it. "I'm not getting a test!" and therefore aren't coming to the wedding. My FH's grandmother being one of them. My FH was clearly not pleased that I included all that information as it's mostly his family that has a problem with it. Really unbelievable if you ask me. But save yourself the headache and arguments if you can!

I did both! I have it on our website and also added a blurb to our details card. There wasn't much on the detail card anyway because so much is on the website, so it was also a nice way to fill the space on that card. If I were attending a wedding (all the ones I was set to attend last year had to have small ceremonies with postponed celebrations), I'd want to know what the plan was and would feel most comfortable being able to find the plan quickly. That said, I think you should do whatever you feel most comfortable with.
