Addresses

Brenda, on January 12, 2020 at 11:14 AM Posted in Planning 0 6
I’m having difficulty gathering addresses on facebook. It’s less than 3 months until I get married and I have maybe 75 so far when I invited a lot more. Should I message people individually or is there a better way to do it?

I would call them, text them or message them individually. We got most of our addresses from my mom and mother-in-law.

How are you using Facebook to gather addresses? You should definitely reach out to people individually.

I would do it individually either through Facebook or text message. It might take longer, but it will be worth it. One of my friends who got married last year posted a status of Facebook asking for people to message her their addresses so she could send them save the dates, invites, etc., and she had over 300 people message her - some of them she hadn't spoken to since high school and some of them she didn't even know. She said she spent hours going through all of the messages to find the address from friends and family she actually needed. She only ended up inviting 125 to her wedding and the people she didn't invite got upset b/c they thought they should've gotten an invitation because technically she did ask them for it.

To ensure you only are getting the addresses of those you want to invite, do it individually, lol.

My FH and I hand delivered our invites to those we saw on a regular basis and only had to mail out 20 to those who lived out of state or those we do not see as often to hand them to them.

My mom and FMIL provided all the family addresses and reached out for those they didn't have. Then we just were able to each reach out individually to our friends which made it a lot easier.

We first asked grandparents because they seem to have a formal address book for our extended family. Then we just messaged people individually...it’s easiest.
