Adding to your family!

Molly, on October 1, 2020 at 12:38 PM Posted in Married Life 0 68

Are you planning on adding to your family after your wedding? Or if you have already gotten married have you started trying to add to your family? (Fur babies count too!) Are you going to wait a while?

My husband is ready to start trying to conceive! I have been ready for a while, but I wanted to be married first. We are so excited to be trying for a baby, but we are also terrified! Having a tiny human that is half of me and half of my very best friend would be amazing! On the other hand it is scary to think about miscarriage and infertility. As of right now I have gotten my BC removed and if it happens it happens!

What are you and you significant others plans to add to your family, if you want to add to your family?

That would be cool! All my friends already have babies so I'm late to the game compared to them lol. Enjoy your 20s!

Not at all. No kids and honestly one dog is enough ha ha. I love her to bits but walking and feeding and caring for two dogs no lol. However, congrats on trying and I think that is a beautiful thing. I am sending positive vibes to you. Smiley smile

My husband wanted to have a baby pretty much the day he met me, but I wanted to be married first. We got married July 2019 and tried to have a baby immediately. I didn't have regular periods after coming off my birth control from August 2019 until April 2020. In February 2020, I was diagnosed with PCOS which makes conceiving more difficult. In May 2020, I was placed on medication to help me get my period and ovulation pills to help increase our chances of becoming pregnant. I found out August 2020 that I was pregnant. My due date is May 1, 2021. We are beyond excited. We are buying our first home and closing is next week. We also plan on getting 1 or 2 dogs shortly after we move so we have a lot going on. I will tell you I was very stressed throughout the process of trying to conceive because of all of the issues that I faced, but I am so thrilled to finally be pregnant. While it might not be easy, but hopefully it is, it will definitely be worth it. My husband's best female friend is due with her first baby 6 weeks before me and my sister is due with her first baby 3-4 weeks after me. It is so exciting to share this experience with others. We have already joked that our baby and his best friend's baby will either be best friends or date/get married lol

Yeah I get asked all the time though when are we having kids. I’ve been married for a year now and I just really don’t wanna rush into it. I wanna enjoy my married life alone with my husband first and just to enjoy my youth right now

That's amazing! I have a few friends with PCOS and they have been trying for years with no luck. I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! That will be so great to have a friend and a sister to go through everything with you! It will be a great support system.

That's why dogs are the best. They protect the little to the big. I love how my baby girl protects the house by barking at anyone (poor delivery people) lol.

Thank you! I was truly shocked when I took a pregnancy test because I expected it to come back negative like it did in the past. PCOS definitely sucks!

You're welcome! I bet! I bought a bulk pack of pregnancy tests already and a spoon that says "We're having a baby", so when/if I find out I'm pregnant I can serve my husband some ice cream that night and wait for him to finally read the spoon! I am so excited!

That's super cute. I gave my husband a box with a shirt that said this guy's going to be a daddy and a onesie with a bib and booties which are baseball themed.

According to my mom, I have been saying ever since I was 8 years old that I am never having kids, just lots of animals! 😆😆 All through my teens and 20s, everyone kept telling me I would change my mind when I got older. Well, I guess 8 yr old me knew exactly who she was already, because I have not changed my mind in the slightest! LOL Definitely no kids for me. FH and I were planning to get a dog after our wedding and honeymoon. But, because of the pandemic, the wedding has been pushed back to Fall of next year now; and because of his job our honeymoon will now have to be pushed back to our one year anniversary (2022). There was no way I was waiting that long for a fur baby! So we adopted our Monkey in May ❤️ My fiancé jokes that he is so glad I didn’t want to have kids, because this puppy has required more time and money (and has a larger wardrobe haha) than a human child 😂

    Adding to your family! 1

My fiancé and I plan on trying after we get married. Which won’t be until 2022. Sometimes it does get to me because all our friends have babies and now his younger brother is also expecting. And I also see people posting their announcements, definitely doesn’t help. 😭 but hopefully God willing 2022 will be our year.
