Adding slit to dress with no seam

Hi all! I just purchased my wedding dress a few weeks ago, and I am wanting to try and add a slit to it. I was reading that it’s normally hard to do it there isn’t a seam along the front at all. My dress is chiffon, two layers. I was wondering if anyone else has had success adding a slit to their dress that doesn’t have a seam. Thank you
