Adding Cider to the Beer and Wine

Christine, on March 15, 2020 at 2:58 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4

We have decided to add Cider to the Beer and Wine offerings at the reception. Should we lower the number of beer bottles or wine bottles or both?

Any thoughts? Thanks!!

I don’t think so. I don’t think most people will op for the cider unless they’re sober or children.

That is a great question lol. I’m assuming you mean alcohol cider. Maybe decrease the beer a smidge? I think cider is more in the beer family but I could be totally wrong. I’d honestly be hesitant to decrease either especially wine.

Bars and restaurants usually categorize cider with beer, so agree with Fleur that if you include it, cut back on the beer a bit. But wine drinkers tend to only want wine, I think. Personally, I LOVE hard cider and often prefer it over beer and wine (though I like all three).

Do you have bartenders or a catering service you can ask how this works in their experience, as far as quantity to have?

Do you mean hard cider or sparkling nonalcoholic? Keep the beer and wine counts the same.
If you have a bartender, it's their job to calculate this.
