Adding a train

Rachel, on September 29, 2019 at 12:33 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Okay! So I got my wedding dress and I love it! I’m just a little torn because it doesn’t have a train and I think I would like something SMALL at the back. I had to order the dress in an extra long length because it was just 1/2 an inch - an inch too short. I was told the extra length would add 5-6 inches. The crazy in me is wondering if that would be enough to alter some sort of small train at the back? Am I just being a bridezilla and wanting the impossible? I didn’t ask at the shop because I didn’t think about it until I left! Help!

Congrats on saying yes to the dress! Do you have any pictures of it by chance? Or can you describe what it looks like?

This is the dress, completely unaltered. The one that came in in my correct size is actually a tad bit shorter! And thank you!

They sell detachable trains on Etsy. It may be difficult to match your dress, but it’s worth a try.

If you ordered a dress that’s longer, they can always leave the hem as in in the back for a train and shorted the front for length. I don’t know how creating your own train would look, as it would be hard to match the design/details of the dress. Another option would be to get a long veil. You could get something that’s cathedral length to get that dramatic look and then not have to worry about a bustle with your dress.
