Adding a corset back...what's your story?

ambrok, on July 3, 2017 at 9:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

1) I can squeeze into my dress with a longline bra; but...how fun is that going to be?!?

2) I want to be as comfy as possible & keep costs down.

I've been looking to purchase another longline bra (I just ordered my reg bra size for the 1st one...not a good idea). The price stinks & then I STILL worrying about fitting into my dress :o I have my 1st fitting in a month & wanted to purchase any needed undergarments and shoes beforehand. I emailed my seamstress regarding a corset back option...sounds like it's a go (it's an all over lace dress/no beading) & will only cost ~$80 with cups added: )

How did your corset back work out for you? Did it still give you an hourglass shape? Being a size 24 bride with D cups...will I have to worry about 'support' or will a corset take care of that?

My dress is corset and all over lace as well but I have A cup so my problem is making it look like I have boobs Smiley smile but I also got it because I wanted the option to basically tighten it up or let it out. I was terrified if I got a zipper style that after fittings if I gained weight I would have too tight of a dress. I haven't gotten the long bra yet since my dress isn't in yet. My sister is an F cup (she stole my boobs) and she had a princess corset dress and didn't wear a bra. They fitted it right enough where it held her up.

Thanks for the info! It certainly puts my mind at ease a bit : ) I've haven't tried on my dress for a year, so I'm super nervous to...

@Finally Mrs H, I'm sure I won't have a problem finding someone to 'hurt' me! LOL 'Remember when you did this....I'll tighten that bugger up'!

@IzziJones, I'm the youngest in my family...I've always told me older sisters that they didn't take their share & I got the boobs : )

I just had my first fitting and mine is a corset back. I'm a size 16 with DD chest. It definitely gives me an hourglass shape, it's super flattering. I say do it!

I'm a size 16 I cup and LOVE my corset back. It gives me an amazing shape and makes me feel so sexy and secure. I definitely always recommend them!

I am trying to decide between having cups sewn in and getting a long line bra. Can't seem to decide.

My seamstress also suggested that I try the dress on w/o the longline bra. It adds material n the dress might fit fine without it.
