Nikki, on February 3, 2017 at 11:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

Has anyone in here added some kind of sleeve to their dress? Mind sharing a photo and cost?

No but i was thinking about it but the dress was $2400 and they wanted to charge $500 for the extra lace plus what ever it would cost to do the alterations.

I just did yesterday. I went to a trunk show, the designer is adding them so they'll fit perfectly on the dress. Trunk show pricing for the sleeves was $300 as opposed to $900.

Oh I am also interested in this! I have a strapless dress and would love to add straps/sleeves to it but I'd like to see what "added-on" sleeves look like.

I'm having cap sleeves added to my dress. I don't have a finished picture though. The salon i bought the dress from is doing my alterations and they did a mock of sleeves for me to decide on when i had my first fitting last week

I bought in November, it's a bateau neck. We purchased about $500 in extra lace to make the sleeves. But I won't have the dress till June. This is the dress I bought, don't have an image with the fake sleeves I tried on.

My dress is sleeveless, and they put cap sleeves on at the store and I'd love to get them but the price will also vary!

I'm adding cap sleeves, but I don't have a pic yetSmiley sad

the cost to add them was about $140, but that doesn't include the alterations, that's just the caps itself.

So this is my dress. Cost is $1300. I originally wanted sleeves on it. And I mean for real 3/4 sleeves, not just a cap. So my dress is a Maggie and they don't sell the bodice fabric, so I would have to purchase the separate pieces of the puzzle to get it to match, which ran me $600 alone. Then to build and add sleeves, it was another $650. So I doubled the cost of my dress and therefor, decided against it. I could add caps for $160, which is way more affordable. But I also want to cover the nasty parts of my arms, so it really doesn't do me any good.
