Add a slit??

I wouldn't do a slit because it's an a-line and it obviously has tulle underneath. That kind of dress isn't meant for a slit

I would leave it as is. The dress has a lot going on and I think a slit would detract from the style integrity. It's beautiful as is.

This dress is beautiful and timeless. I wouldn’t do the slit. You can wear a slit with many other evening gowns but this dress is perfect as is. If you do want a gown with a slit, I’d suggest you buy one with a slit already designed. A lot of people on these forums post their post-modification woes on here… so I wouldn’t recommend a big change to the dress architecture for that reason. Also, as a previous commenter stated, this dress is meant to have an underskirt/tulle for the body of the a-line, which means your slit will not look right.
