Acrylic vs. sns

Rya, on January 11, 2018 at 5:29 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 14
Has anyone ever tried SNS for their nails. If they have would you recommend that over acrylic for fake nails for the cost or would you rather go with acrylic. Just stopped in to a nail bar which I've never heard of before but the S&S is $50 and they said that's better for your nail than the acrylic but for the cost for lasting 3 weeks versus 28+ 20 which I'm not the fact that I'm not sure which way to go on that both of them would have to be redone every 3 weeks but the acrylic can just be touched up for 18 the S&S would have to be completely undone and then we applied for another 50.

    Is this for the wedding?

SNS is nice. I find it to be longer lasting than gel nails (never had acrylics) and it doesn't peel on the corners.

Also, it might help to add punctuation. It's extremely hard to read/understand posts that are run on sentences.

SNS is much healthier for your nails. I did it for about two months and loved it. While it's a little more pricey it's worth it. I know fake nails really end up softening your real nails and make then easy to fully break off

I’ve done SNS and it is great! lasts a long time and doesn’t chip. However, I didn’t get it on top of acrylic, just my natural nails, and found that after 2 or 3 times, my nail was very thin and brittle.

I only do SNS now. Used to do acrylic but I’ve switched. My SNS isn’t that crazy of a price different at my salon.

In my area, acrylics and sns are the same price. I absolutely prefer sns!! It’s healthier for your nails, lasts longer, and in my opinion looks overall better than acrylics.

I completely disagree sns is healthier. It destroyed my nails really badly. They made them feel like paper and they took a really long time to recover. Don’t recommend.

I do gel on top of my regular nails every 2 weeks but they have always peeled off by the time I go back. I am interested in SNS just haven't sucked it up to pay the money for that yet.

So for the run on sentences, I was using speak to text. I forget sometimes to tell it to add them when I'm doing that. My nails are already thin and break easily, so I think for the cost I will go with the acrylic. I'm thinking of doing these.

I have the same issue with talk to text! I love these so pretty! How did you like the SNS?

Both are extremely bad for your nails. I used to do acrylics when I was in high school, I don't know anyone that still does that. I've done gel and gel powder (SNS) before, and they are also equally terrible for your nails. A gel or SNS manicure is only $30 near me, I would never pay $50 for it. Or for acrylics.
