Acne issue, wearing a strapless dress

Astrid, on November 16, 2016 at 2:53 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

So for a long time ive had issues with acne on my upper back. Done tried a lot of acne products. Its helps but doesnt clear it all the way. Im not sure if ill have it fully cleared before the big day. I really dont want to wear sleeves. Any suggestions? Growing my hair longer hoping maybe thatll help cover it?

I've had acne forever, try sea breeze and tea tree oil. Both have worked for me but sea breeze is just perfection.

You can have your make make-up artist use concealer and such to hide it. I know a few brides and bridesmaids that have done this.

Your best bet would be going to see a dermatologist or and esthetician, they'll take a look at your skin and will be able to either prescribe you appropriate products or can steer you in the right direction.

My advice (I am an esthetician): Exfoliating really helps when acne is present on your body. Also be conscience of the products you are using. If you are using a body wash or a cheaper acne wash, it could have pore-clogging ingredients and may be leaving a film on your skin. I always say bite the bullet and spend the money on higher end skin care, because you 100% get what you pay for.

Another tid-bit, my younger brother has acne on his chest from sports, and he uses a medicated body wash from Murad and it works wonders on him. Check it out!

I struggled with this same problem for a long time & I swear by raw african black soap. The stuff is amazing! Target or Walmart sell a version that's pretty good, the brand is Shea Moisture but, I highly recommend ordering the raw stuff online.

Definitely dermatologist. You might need to take oral medication for this. I used to have the same issue several years back.

Take a look at Reddit's skincareaddiction subreddit. Absolutely cleared my skin after decades of misery.

It all really depends on the cause of it. I had that issue a few years ago. I'm a bit obsessive in the shower. I scrub too long and hard. One day I decided not to scrub so vigorously and the acne went away after a couple days.
