So our guest list is ~90 people. Three people on that list are vegan (not vegetarian, all-out vegan). For the dinner, there are vegan options I can have them pick from. They aren't too exciting, but maybe it's because I'm not vegan that they don't look good. For cocktail hour, however, I'm not sure what to provide for them to snack on. We have passed apps and a stationed app, but I'm torn on ordering a vegan passed app that I know only 3 of my guests will be interested in eating. And on top of that, the caterer has literally 0 vegan apps on their menu--so I would need to order off-menu which would be more expensive to boot.

Is it okay to just hope they enjoy the open bar for cocktail hour?

I'm vegan (and actually having a vegan wedding this summer), and I never expect for there to be food for me to eat at most weddings. It's incredibly kind and I'm always thrilled when the hosts go out of their way to make sure I can eat, but it is their day, not mine.

If you do decide you want to make sure you have decent vegan options, I'd avoid the standard grilled veggie plate. Vegans are just like everyone else--if you don't think it's a full meal, they won't either. I might recommend a pasta dish, that can provide a decent base for drinking and is super easy to veganize.

Again, I don't think you have to cater to everyone's diets, but it is a nice gesture. Good luck!
