You're right that he has no idea what style, what exact shade, what material, etc..... guys tend to have very minimal visualization about dresses from my experience hahaha, just because he knows it's "pink" wouldn't ruin anything, I don't think! Brides that wear white, their FH's all know (or assume) what "color" their dress is, and that doesn't take ANYTHING away!

Yeah, knowing the color is not really giving much away. My FH has found out its strapless because I needed to buy a strapless bathing suit to avoid tan lines, and he knows it has lace because I accidentally explained that the alterations were so expensive because taking off and moving up the lace for the hem is a lot of work. He still has no idea what it looks like. Is it a mermaid? Is it a ballgown? The possibilities are endless. Pink is a pretty vague clue. You're fine.

It's all good. My H went dress shopping with me and was there when I bought my dress and was still super surprised day of. Don't stress it.

Don't stress. I'm sure when he sees you in your dress, his face will tell it all, whether your dress is pink, purple, blue or white.

HA, I did the same thing last weekend when shoe shopping! Honestly I don't know if FH even caught it. I'm sure your FH will love it no matter what.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it too much. After I went dress shopping we all met my FH for lunch and someone let it slip out that I'm actually wearing a skirt. I just laughed and let it go. As for him, he just said okay LOL. He has no clue what it looks like so I'm okay with that. It will be fine, and I bet your FH will be stunned all the same when you walk down the aisle

Dont stress it! My FH knows the color of my dress cause i want his tie to match. He will still be surprised with how amazing you look in it!

Even if he sees your dress on a hangar, he has no idea how it looks on. . . . . And you know, there is actually no reason he cannot see you in your dress before wedding day. On the one hand, you would like to surprise him. On the other hand, if he sees you in the dress well before the wedding, he will keep thinking of how beautiful you are in it. Anticipation, looking forward to things you have wanted that finally happen, is an awful lot of the pleasure. My FI did see me in my dress, when I was making a final decision to buy that one, or 2 others nice but not my favorites. He cried when he saw the one I had liked best. And now and then through planning, he would get this finny look, and say, I keep seeing you in the dress, in my mind. . . . . Think of how many times you have thought about the dress, just imagining wedding day. Would it be such a tragedy to give your FI that pleasure?

From what I know, guys are very visual and have a harder time picturing things than women do.

Even if he caught the slip up, he probably can't even picture what a pink wedding dress looks like.

If he's anything like my FH, he either A: wasn't paying attention anyways or B: will forget by the end of the day. Has he mentioned it since? If not, I have a feeling he already forgot.
