Accessories and Shoes?

Erin, on December 1, 2019 at 8:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
I know I have a lot of time, but I can’t do much else before June (since I can’t book the venue until 1 year out). I have my dress, as well as a tiara with crystals and pearls on it. I also have to wear a pearl necklace (an inherited family heirloom). From there, I don’t know what I want to wear. The 1st picture is my tiara that i will be wearing. (My FMIL and my mom wo t let me put it on before the big day lol). The 2nd picture (Ivory) is the official dress (I was by myself and took an awful picture of it lol) and the 3rd picture is the dress in grey which shows the detailing better (since I didn’t take the picture xD).
I don’t have any pictures of the necklace as my parents are getting the pearls restrung, but its your classic string of pearls.

There is no lace or beading on the dress, but it’s a textured organza. I’ve never been very good at accessorizing haha. Help?

Your dress reminds me of Cindarella. I love the style. I feel like ivory shoes and pear accessories will match nicely. Are you wearing a veil?

I think with the cloak or cape and the tiara you are almost going for a regal look. Almost British royalty which is awesome. Yes I have been watching the Crown lol. You might even get a way with diamond stud or short length earrings and a diamond tennis bracelet. Maybe some gloves?

Hmm, I haven’t considered gloves. We’ll be getting married in June in the mountains so there’s a good chance it’ll still be chilly (max is usually mid-60s) and it could snow (hence why I’m considering getting a cape of some kind). Some nice dress gloves might be a really good idea, thanks! Smiley smile (also, I love The Crown xD)

Hmmmm I was considering somewhere Colorado. I wonder if mountains are better because I don't want to get married in the heat lol.

The mountains are usually expensive xD but if you’re willing to forego traditional decorations, loud music, and chairs you can get a land use permit at Rocky Mountain National Park for $250 regardless of guest count xD (as long as you want under 100 people total). That’s what we’re doing. Traditional mountain venues are insanely expensive (because Mountain weddings are insanely beautiful and sought after). I totally get not wanting to get married in the heat, lol. When we were looking to go in a more traditional direction I was planning for April because it’s cooler xD I would die in a ball gown at typical summer temperatures, even in my light and airy organza gown.

We're eloping so the guest count will be super low lol. Also, no reception so we are good there ha ha. FH and I have to make decisions in the new year but we have some free trips and would like to use them. I prefer CA because we both love LA and consider it our place. I already got quotes from two venues in LA. Colorado might be another option. Smiley smile If he likes that idea.

They also have a ton of locations for under 30 guests Smiley winking. I’m a bit partial to Colorado lol. I live here and it’s beautiful xD. But LA is also super nice. I’m sure you guys will be happy wherever you go!

Oh good. I may be able to pick your brain lol. We have a US/Canada trip we would need to use by March 2021 so we are looking at Fall next year. I am thinking we use that up for at least a free stay then we mostly just need to focus on flights and venue. Smiley smile
