Absolutely freaking out over here!

Nikki, on March 11, 2020 at 12:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
My wedding is next Saturday and everything feels like it’s falling apart!
We were getting married outside at my grandparents house. But due to rain the forecast this week and next with being in upper 80% chances we are forced to move locations. Everything was going so soothly till this point. Invites have been sent rsvps have been received. Now we have to reach out to everyone and inform them of the new location. My vision for this wedding feels ruined. Bright side we have found another location for cheap about 30min from my grandparents house (so not to bad) ugh! I just want this planning to be done!

Awwwww I’m sorry! Good thing you found a backup place! It will be beautiful! The only thing changing is the location. All else
That you have planned and envisioned will remain the same and you’ll feel much better being in a safe/covered place! Enjoy every min of it!! 😊

Wouldn't it be simpler (and possibly cheaper) to rent a tent for everyone to gather under for the ceremony?

You didn't mention anything about the reception, so I wasn't sure if it is supposed to be outside too. But a tent would work in that situation. You'd just need to convert the chairs/tables from ceremony to reception layout.

Something to look into maybe. Good luck!!

We have looked into the tents and that was the plan until we kept looking at weather reports and it just rain pretty much everyday with no time to dry out before the wedding. everything is outside but the biggest concern is if it does stop raining would be the mud my grandparents have a very muddy section and it would just ruin the dress.

I am sorry that happened but just remember the day is about marrying the person you love and that is the best part. I still hope you have an amazing day and have so much fun.

I see. That changes things, doesn't it? I'm so sorry this is happening to you. It's always a bummer to have to rush around and change a plan that has been in place for months. Yeah, nobody wants to stand around in the mud in nice clothes--least of all you!! I hope this new place can work better for you.

Thank goodness you found a back up location at the last minute. Always remember it could be worse. Have faith, I"m sure the new location will be equally beautiful.
