To preface, my whole wedding is costing ~$5k. I am a college student so I’m desperately trying to plan the whole wedding before the fall semester starts on August 20th. I am also planning the whole wedding from out of state because I go to school in Virginia but my hometown is in Maine. So you can see how difficult the last couple months have been for me 😅
My FH and I are going to Maine to finalize the venue, HMU artists, photography, rentals, catering, cake and bar in early August so that I can focus on school. I’m super nervous about dropping our whole savings in the 2 days that we are there but on the other hand, I’ll be done wedding planning! My wedding isn’t until November so it feels surreal that I’m basically done! Who else is almost done with wedding planning and paying your last deposits? Am I crazy for being this nervous? 😅

A fellow Maine bride!! We’re also planning from a distance and went to do a lot of our final venue, HMUA, florist checks in June. I don’t think it’s weird to be nervous - it’s something you’ve been planning and saving for and it’s exciting when it’s becoming more real!

I'm nowhere near done, but I feel you on the working-around-college thing! I start my student teaching semester next month, so I've pretty much accepted I won't get to even think about wedding stuff again til January, haha.

It’s so exciting to see another Maine bride!! There aren’t many of us! It is exciting but it’s also scary that I’m spending so much in only 2 days!

Yup! I’ve realized that from August to October, I’ll be barely thinking about the wedding!

I am doing the same thing! You are so not crazy for being nervous. I’m so nervous that something will go wrong or that I will forget to do something. My mom keeps assuring me it will all go smoothly and at the end of the day I’ll be married to the love of my life😄
