A Thousand Years

What do you think of walking down the aisle to the song a Thousand Years and then using it again as our first dance. Can you use the same song for both? I love this song and it chokes me up every time I hear it!

My godson is playing it on the piano for the bridal party, and writing his own thing for me to walk in to.. I think the piano version is just as beautiful!

You could do the instrumental version by "The Piano Guys" for the ceremony and then do the Christina Perri version for your first dance.

I'm also walking down the aisle to the Piano Guys version!! It's so beautiful. I don't see anything wrong with also having it as your first dance song

I like the idea of using the Piano Guys version to walk down the aisle, then the Christina Perri version for your first dance!

This is the song I plan on using to walk down the aisle! But I am using the Piano Guys version. gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I think it is ok to use both. maybe piano version first then use the actual song for the first dance!

Check out, "The Piano Guys" version of it. No words, just instruments. It's BEAUTIFUL! We are walking to that. Maybe you could do that to walk and then have the version with words for your first dance? Just a thought. -so yes, I agree with everyone else!

I"m entirely over it because I hear it four times a weekend, but if you love it, then pick one place to use it. There is so much fabulous music out there, it should be easy to find a second song for either the aisle or the first dance.

I think it works better for a processional than a first dance.

I agree with Celia. I'm struggling to find places I can use all the songs I love! I can't even fathom using the same one twice.

You could do an instrumental (no lyrics) version to walk down the aisle and the original song to dance to!

I walked down the aisle to that song. It was perfect! Wanted it also as first dance but it's so slow I feel like it would be kind of awkward to dance to.

Use an instrumental version for the processional and the voiced song for your first dance :-)

Honestly, every time I hear that song at a wedding all I can think of is Twilight. It's beautiful, but I wouldn't use it just for that reason.

Sure. I'd probably do the instrumental version to walk down the aisle to. That way it won't be monotonous.
