Actually, I am scared to marry (doesn’t mean I’m not going to marry him) but it’s definitely new. I’m scared because I want to make sure I keep my own identity and not get absorbed into being just his wife. I’m scared because divorce rates are high and I hope we will still love each other each and everyday. I’m scared I may not be able to have kids or that if we have kids it will ruin our relationship. I think you’re being honest about your feelings and that nervousness is normal. However, you know your relationship and you know it’s strengths. I’m sure the jitters will go away.

This is so very well put! I think we all get wrapped up in the excitement of marrying our best friend. However, I totally agree with what you said! I have been with my FH for 3.5 years and while I know this is what I want (I'd better since I'm the one that popped the question) I still get scared.

I don't want us to change. Granted I don't really see that happening since we are literally the same now as we were day 1. I don't want us to fall into the "we're married" rut and stop dating each other. I think a certain level of fear is healthy. I am glad I am and I know he is as well. He has the same fears I do. We have talked about all of this and we are certain this is normal and when the big day arrives, it's time for me to walk down, he finally gets to see me and I him, all of that will subside.
