A-line/ballgown dress ladies!

Sorry in advance for the personal question! What undergarments are you planning on wearing with your dress? I am trying to stay away from anything constricting (spanx etc), but was wondering if anyone was planning on wearing anything like that. I am going to my first dress fitting in a few weeks, and need to bring all of my undergarments i will be wearing...I was honestly just planning on wearing a normal strapless bra (or getting built in cups etc) and no shapewear! Is that crazy??

Also drop a pic of your accessories (shoes, jewlery etc!)

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I will be wearing a ball gown! I don’t think what you’re planning is crazy. I hear you are supposed to bring these items during your fitting to ensure you are properly fitted.

Side note, kinda, the ladies at the boutique I purchased from gave me some good advise regarding shape wear and such; don’t wear shape wear until you are truly trying to shape not slim. The shape wear will add to your size.

I won’t wear a bra but will have cups sewn in for a lift! As far as panties, I’ll probably wear a white or nude thong. Then I’ll have some lingerie for the night of and honeymoon.

For shoes I’m wearing Tieks for the entire day. In their signature Tiek Blue! They are a little pricey but definitely a shoe I’ll wear again!

I’m still thinking about jewelry. But this is what I’m leaning forwards. Just a necklace and earrings. I don’t want a bracket to get stuck on my bodice since it’s lace.

Good luck and I think you’ll be fine!

I Was Planning On Wearing My Honey Love Shapewear But Ended Up Buying A Dress With An Extremely Low Back So Now That Isn't An Option. Now Idk What Im Going To Do I Will Just See How It Fits At My First Fitting Without It And Go From There. You Should Take Your Undergarments With You Though So Youll Get The Whole Picture And Can Really Decide If You Need Them Or Not (Shapewear). Good LuckSmiley heart

I wore a ballgown with a corset back. My dress had built in cups so a bra was unnecessary. I honestly don't even remember what underwear I worn. I think they were just plain. I didn't wear any type of shapewear. My shoes were hightop white converses that were decorated with gemstones and had bride written on one side and our wedding date on the other. My husband changed into black hightop converses for the reception whereas I wore mine the entire time. I wore blue socks as my something blue. I had a rather plain veil as my dress had a layer of sparkle and gemstones on it so I didn't want a fancy veil. I wore my mom's diamond tennis bracelet which was my something borrowed. I also wore a necklace my husband bought me for our first Christmas together and earrings he bought me for our second Christmas. I really wanted to wear a tiara, but prior to the wedding my husband kept saying no. The morning of the wedding while I was getting ready my husband had a present delivered to the suite I was getting ready in. I opened it and was totally surprised because with my mom's help he bought me a beautiful tiara. I have included some photos. Unfortunately, I don't have any close ups of my jewelry as it was misplaced in the morning and by the time it was found there wasn't time to take photos of it.
