A-line Gown bustle??

Here is my one that was taken when I bought the dress and then at my first fitting. I do not have a long train or a lot of layers to deal with which I know makes a difference.

Honestly it will depend on what the extra layers of your dress are like and what style of bustle you go with.
My friend had a bustle similar to the person above but we had to bustle her dress in three places due to the lace details in the back.

I like the more simple American style bustle but my dress has lots of layers and a tulle overlay with lace flower appliqués scattered all over.

My skirt was taffeta, so I did an under bustle. I think it really depends on what fabric your skirt is, no so much the style of dress. I asked my seamstress for her opinion bc honestly, i really didn't know the difference between bustle styles.

my skirt is tulle with a silk underskirt when i went in for my alterations appointment she pinned it up really pretty in the American style and it looked really nice.
