If you want to stay in a hotel, there is the Four Seasons, Grand Wailea, Hotel Kaapalani. There are also many cottage rentals so you can live like a local. The hotels offer luaus that anyone can attend. The Road to Hana is popular as is Mt Haleakala (sunset is just as pretty if you are not a morning person). Browse online to see what piques your interest.

We are doing Maui (staying at the Andaz) and Kauai (staying at the Grand Hyatt). We are also stopping in Napa on our way home (Hotel Yountville) for a few days to break up the flights back to New York.

I recommend staying at a VRBO or Air BNB in Lahaina!

My fiancé and I went a few years ago to Oahu and Kauai! Oahu was great for touristy excursions like going to the Dole Plantation, Waikiki, and Pearl Harbor. I personally thought Kauai would be more romantic for a honeymoon. We went on a boat ride along the Napali Coast which was beautiful!! You can also do a helicopter ride there. We also went to a luau and even though we weren't there for our honeymoon, we sat next to a newlywed couple and another couple that was there for their 33rd wedding anniversary! There are also super romantic beaches on that island. I can't recommend a hotel because we stayed in a VRBO condo, but I remember there being several upscale resorts. I think one or two of them even had fun activities like swimming with dolphins!

Me and my fiancé went to Honolulu Hawaii 2 years ago ! It was absolutely beautiful! I cried when I had to come back home. The natives always say “are you in the aloha spirit” it’s a state of mind where you are truly at peace ! It’s beautiful! One thing I can say is it’s really expensive! But it’s worth it. We saved about $11,000 for food,shopping, rental, excursions, plane ticket and hotel and it still didn’t feel like it was enough. But it’s worth it

I just checked that site and there is tons of savings for places in Hawaii!!! I so should of thought about this earlier ! I totally spaced the site until a co worker of mine suggested I take a look!!
