So, I think I am kind of at a pausing point. Most of what is left are paying final payments. I had my hair trial last Thursday and it went really well. So, I think I am kind of at a pausing point. Most of what is left are paying final payments. I had my hair trial last Thursday and it went really well. It took I think about an hour before I finally said okay this look is IT. My stylist was a champ the whole time. I did not mean to be difficult but there was something off and I kept having her change this and that until it was exactly how I wanted it. That is so out of character for me. I am usually the type that says ok it's fine even when it is not. haha! My makeup trial was scheduled for the same day but mua child was sick and she asked if we could reschedule in a couple of weeks. Next month the guys go to purchase their clothes and I am buying my husband's ring. I am just SO READY for the day to get here. I can not wait to be married. I have started making spreadsheets for everything, lol. I made one for the photographer, director/DOC, planner, myself! I feel so organized. Who knew I could be this organized??

I am using publisher to mail merge all of my addresses. I am leaving the outside envelopes simple, but making my inner envelopes fancy.

Question to those who have sent thank yous for their shower about verbiage. If you received a check did you say thank you for your gracious monetary contribution to our wedding or did you just say check? I don't want to be all "Woohoo thanks for the cash!" (thought it was my second favorite gift).

Its so close. My shower is next month. For someone who gives you cash I'd probably say "Thank you so much for your generous gift, it'll definitely be helpful when purchasing X" You can probably leave out the last part if you wanted to. Is it weird to not open gifts at your shower? I'd rather chat than have people watch me open presents I know I got...

PS excited to see that all of my (expensive and I felt guilty) stoneware plates were purchased off my registry! Am I the only one who looks at that?

My shower ended up to be more birthday presents than anything else (my b-day is in 2 weeks). I got 3 items that we actually registered for and the rest, came off my personal Amazon wishlist. I am sorta frustrated at this.

@Rebecca I didn't even know people could look at your Amazon wishlist... was that part of the invite to the shower?

I have appointments / something wedding related almost every night this week: meeting with our pastor, bridal show (not necessary but looking for a deal for transportation still and Hawaii giveaways don't hurt!), and our final menu/linen appointment at our venue.

My mom told me she was buying stamps for the invitations and I've been waiting for that because I know they're supposed to go out this week. Our RSVP date is early because our venue needs to know the final number as soon as possible. I have all the invitations set up and ready, I just need to put the stamp on the inner and outer envelopes and then seal and send.

All the men in the wedding party need to be fitted for their tuxes and put down their deposits by August 15 and I think only half of them have done that so far. We also haven't ordered FH's ring yet but getting it off Amazon and it says 2 day shipping, so I'm not super worried. I think we'll get it by the end of August.

I'm a little stressed/ annoyed because FH's mom asked the shower caterer if she could make pineapple vases for us (basically hollowing out a pineapple-- it's easy if you have the tool to do it, but when I tried I cut right through the bottom, had pineapple juice everywhere, and was basically freaking out thinking about making 8 of them the morning of the shower!) and she said no because she has too many events that day and it would be too time consuming. So now FMIL says she's coming over very early in the morning the day of the shower to do them with me....

I think two of my bridesmaids still don't have their dresses. They're trying to weight to see if they lose weight but the dresses take a few weeks to come in and it makes me nervous that they'll wait too long and not be able to get alterations if needed.

I got a different dress than my original dress and need accessories-- earrings definitely and maybe a bracelet-- but am super broke right now and can't order until probably next month.

    Just a lot of craziness.

I'm pretty much over it all and wish the wedding was tomorrow.

@Jenn, I watch my registries but only because my grama has a few friends that seem to be sporadically buying and sending me things and the packing slips don't say who they're from.

@Jessica, I'm in the same boat. I was pacing myself with buying accessories and getting my alterations done but my raise finally kicked in (Thank goodness!!!!!) So I hope to order my jewelry this week! I'm still trying to get FH to get his GM all in one place for the fittings and he's dragging his feet (which doesn't surprise me at all).

@JennV Nope. The Amazon wishlist was not. I only had the BB&B and Sur La Table lists on my invite. Problem is, the gifts came from friends. Or they bought something small off the registry (like a cocktail book we wanted) then supplemented with other things we didn't need (napkins, coasters, ect.) I am extremely grateful they even bought me anything, but I feel bad for my FH because well, it ended up more b-day stuff.

I am not sure he is going to use Bath Bombs, Besame Rose brightening powder or a Monster High doll. LOL

With our invites going out in a week I will prob just have labels printed. I don't think there will be enough time to order printed envelopes online and get delivered on time.

I love reading everyone's progress and what is left to do and have done. It reminds me of things I forget. I can not wait for all the BAM's.

My mama told me and my FH we needed to add more things to our registry. I was showing her things we registered for and she was like that's it? You really need more options on there.

So I totally just looked at the Thank You List on my registry. I almost wish it didn't let you look... I can't believe who bought what.

@Kate oh I am definitely waiting to see some declines. Our budget anticipates 100% acceptance but I doubt everyone will make it. My shower is in September and my MOH sent invites and now people have been going to the registry. I was getting email notifications that things were being bought. It gave me anxiety so I had to turn it off haha.

My mother keeps telling me to add more stuff but I have no idea what to add!

@Christy I'm getting married on the cape! I think you're idea is cute and not guilt trippy but like Kate only if you're close with them.

@Kate, we've been adding things like tool upgrades that FH would like but would never treat himself to.

Hey fellow 10/7 brides and grooms! I noticed some of you mentioned you already sent invites out. I'm planning on sending ours around August 12th because I was told 6-8 weeks is the general rule. What were your reasons for sending them now? Just want to make sure I'm not super behind... we just received our invitations and envelopes in the mail so at least we do have them if I need to send them out earlier.

I just had to pull a bunch of stuff off my registry because it is now discontinued. I am starting to feel like why on earth did I even bother! (Yep, I am having a massive debbie downer kind of day.)
