6 weeks out... Feeling really overwhelmed!

Almost 6 weeks out and I feel super NOT prepared. We have all the vendors and larger things figured out of course, but it’s the little details stressing me out. We’re having a backyard wedding which for some reason i feel stresses me out more because there’s more little things to consider that venues would usually already have in place. Timelines, music choices, where exactly things will go, etc. have not been figured out at all. I must be overthinking things in my head because they seem like simple things to decide on super quick but for some reason i can not come to a decision on them to save my life.. Any tips for these upcoming weeks? Also I’m sure i’m forgetting a lot of things so feel free to leave suggestions of other commonly forgotten about things.

Hi Lindsey! I’ve been there and remember those final weeks well 😂 A very specific day of timeline helped me. Start with the entire day starting when you wake up. This is where I could manage any gaps and see them coming ahead of time. If you haven’t done so already, draw up a floor plan of the backyard and where your tables, decor, etc. all go. Tips to throw your way are to make sure linens are on tables before your florist arrives, sound check music before wedding day, have specific lyrics or timing method for each bridesmaid to know when to walk down, and who/when is responsible for tear down.

My reception is a super low key backyard cookout. I’m mostly worried about having enough food. It’s just going to be the dad’s grilling. But I’m Italian so I know I’m actually okay despite the panic lol
My suggestion is making a ‘home’ list of chores that need to be addressed before the wedding- like lawn mowing and signage to the bathrooms
