6 months too soon?

I've never been one to string things out. A 6-8 month engagement has always been the plan even though I never had really visioned when/where/what my wedding would be. So be honest, is it realistic to plan a destination wedding (but still state side) in 6 months? I'm talking about your average...

So be honest, is it realistic to plan a destination wedding (but still state side) in 6 months? I'm talking about your average wedding - more than just a back yard/low key wedding. Everything from dates, venues, vendors to "I do."

It's August 2017 now and I'm thinking about February 2018, otherwise I'll have to wait until fall 2018 (which isnt ideal).

I'm looking one year in advance and have flexible dates *except I only want Saturdays and I'm having a hard time finding a venue. Be prepared to hear some sarcasm from vendors as the good ones booked even two years out so asking for a date in six months may be a little funny to them. Also, think about your guests... I would personally not attend a DW in under 8 months notice (at least a safe the date). Good luck!

We're planning it in just 7 months and going to school full time! Definitely possible!

Honestly, I would just wait until Fall, that is not that long of an engagement. It will save you SO much stress and you will have a wider selection of vendors to choose from.

You can do it, but you need to establish a budget, guest list and start touring venues like yesterday. Flexibility is key, because in a lot of areas of the country, finding a venue in a high-traffic area for a wedding in six months is hard as hell to do. It's doable, but you have to stay on top of everything.

Also recommend you ask your BP now and go dress shopping asap.
