6 hour photography package

Sarah, on June 8, 2018 at 3:23 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone did a 6 hour photography package and how it worked time wise! I don't know if we could realistically fit everything in. I'm meeting with my photographer next week to discuss options and make a plan and will get input from him as well. We're planning on having 2 photographers for at least a portion of the day.

I do know that I'd much rather have the send off covered than the getting ready time, but if it's possible to do everything without feeling rushed that'd be awesome! Did anyone else do a 6 hour photography package? Did anything have to get cut short? Any photos you missed that you really wanted?

I’m doing a 6 hour photography package. It only covers one location. So my photographer will only be there from 5-11 for our ceremony and reception. However I really wanted some photos of us getting ready, but unfortunately can’t afford another shooter and another hour or two... so my aunt has a professional camera and will be getting ready with us while taking photos. And fiancés friends also has a pro camera and will be getting ready with him so it all works out.

I plan to do a 6 hour package as well and would love to piggy back on the input you get on this post.

That is what I have. They don't need to be there the whole time we are getting ready, just at the end to catch a few shots. And we are not having them stay the whole reception. I don't really care about a grand exit, and 3 hours of people dancing will be too much IMO.

ETA: my photog actually suggested this package over his 8 hour one. He said it's plenty for almost everyone.

That’s good to hear! 6 is what I’m doing as well, because it’s what I could afford (and even that was a major splurge, tbh). I’ve read too where you can stage the send off, too, and then just keep partying after the photographer is gone. Smiley smile

How are you fitting 3 hours of dancing??? The way my day is laid out, we'll be lucky to have 2 hours after dinner for dancing. And I LOVE dancing and wish we could fit more! But I agree pictures of all the dancing probably isn't necessary...
