6 Flower Girls?

Kathryn, on November 21, 2017 at 1:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I have 5 nieces and no nephew and I will soon have a niece in law.

I want to have all the girls involved but I wonder if 6 Flower Girls are over-kill? I thought about having three of them be ring carriers but we're doing a ring warming ceremony so I'm not sure how that would work.

Anyone have ideas?

Wow that's a lot of kids in the ceremony. I know it would be hard to choose but I feel like it may be silly to see so many flower girls..just my opinion though. Maybe you could have a couple be junior bridesmaids, depending on their ages.

I wouldn't do it but to each his own. That's way too many kids standing up there with your entire bridal party in my opinion. If I had to pick between that many girls I probably wouldn't even have a flower girl.

Six would be too many for me. There's nothing wrong with not having any flower girls. What are the ages? Those who are really young won't miss not being flower girls.

That sounds kind of bananas to me. we debated asking some of our nieces to be flower girls but would've been in a similar situation numbers-wise and opted against it. you'll have enough wrangling to do with the adults, and you should also consider the effort that you're asking all the parents of these kids to put in too, if they're all young.

Princess Kate only had 4 flower girls. I think 6 could be a bit overpowering. How many other people will be your wedding party?

I would just let the kids be cute kids and leave them out of the ceremony. Perhaps try to coral them for a group kid photo, but it seems stressful to try to include them in something that is mostly likely not meaningful to them because they are little.
