5,200 dollars for florist

I am so bummed right now. I had originally budgeted 3,000 dollars for my flowers. I got the proposal from the florist which includes "everything we spoke about" and it's over 5200 dollars. I told her we need to cut back because it is over budget but now I feel like I'm cutting out so many things that I want in my wedding. Is it worth it to go over budget when a beautiful floral display means a lot to me? My father tells me I need to have better judgement and that they are going to die anyway.

Did you try a local grocery store? I got mine there for a very reasonable price and the flowers looked great. Might be an option to check out

Would you be able to cut down on anything else to have more funds for the floral arrangements? Seems like that means a lot to you!

I would talk with your florist and see if they can swap out certain flowers for ones that are less expensive. There are some flowers that look basically the same that are less money.
When I first got my proposal it was over what I wanted to spend and my florist switched some things around and made it work for my budget. If they're unable to do that I would suggest at least getting a proposal from a different florist because they may be able to do what you want for less.

Exactly this. A few flower choices can change the price drastically. I feel there may be a way to get you close to your original budget or perhaps get a few more bids.
