4 months away and stressed 😩😩

Destiny, on March 5, 2023 at 9:26 PM Posted in Planning 0 21
Set a date for July 7th of this year as wedding date. That's nearly 4 months and I'm so stressed. Reason being my FH and his groomsmen don't have their suits. My bridesmaids don't have their dresses. I'm the only one that has my dress. Rings aren't paid off. I have my engagement ring but we still have payments left to pay on the bands. We are financially struggling to get anything tied down. I have comtacted places that is more budget friendly but again the money to pan is hard. I'm so stressed out and feel like nothing is going right. Please help. 😔😔😔stressed-out-jade-wesker.gif

Have the groomsmen or bridesmaids picked out dresses? If not I would recommend Generation Tux or Black Tux for suits and Azazie for dresses. They can have the suits and dresses sent directly to their house. Unfortunately I don't have any advice about the rings.

I sent a link to the dresses I wanted the bridesmaids to pick out. Everyone kept telling me that they will be going to try dresses on but the days keep getting pushed back. I just don't want them to run into the issue where either the dress isn't gonna make it on time to be fitted or it isn't in stock at all. Then far as the groomsmen I don't know my FH doesn't speak to me much about things going on his end. Far as he has told me is no one tried on anything nor ordered anything

Not sure where you are wanting them to get their dresses from but I would find out from the company when they absolutely need to order the dresses by in order to get them in time and still have time to get them altered if need to be. If they don't follow through then I would say they won't be in the wedding after all. As for the groomsmen I would let your fiance know you are concerned and ask him when they will be ordering their suits. Suits honestly are pretty easy. They just have to get measured then place the order. Have suits actually even been selected? Meaning like what specific suit he wants them to get or does he have no idea. My husband and I went together and picked out the tuxes.

I wanted the ladies get their dresses from David's Bridal. I'm concerned with that tho because I know that DB can get busy and since now the wedding is 4 months away it's like they might get even busier with seeing that holidays are coming in the months ahead. I've expressed my concern to my fiance but it's like he doesn't really get the point. The suits haven't been selected at all.

I would say it looks like it depends on the dress as to the current estimated delivery date. I just looked on their website and some had the estimated delivery date as early as two weeks out others weren't expected to be delivered until late June or mid-July. Are you wanting them to all wear the same dress or are you giving them options? Either way I would look to see when their website is showing as the estimated delivery date.

Could you sit down with your fiance and look online at suit options? I'm not sure if he is the type of person that would want your help with something like this. My husband wanted me to go with me when we went to look because he wanted my input. His groomsmen are going to need to know what to order and need some type of idea of what they will be expected to spend. My husband has been a groomsman multiple times and as his wife I wouldn't want the tux/suit cost just sprung on us last minute.

Thanks. I'll have to look into that for sure. I gave them different options but if the dresses do turn out to be that the delivery is in Jun/July I'll definitely have to have a back up plan in mind.

I'll have to have a sit with my fiance tonite and see if he'd be up for going together to look at suits. I think that also would be a great idea seeing as that none of his groomsmen stay where we stay.

I’m in the same boat. My wedding is just 3 months away. It’s a second wedding for us both, and is more casual, but still… we have no wedding bands, no invitations, no suits. Money is so tight and I keep telling myself it’s not about how much we spend. Lord knows I spent a fortune on my first wedding and look how that turned out (lol) So my advice would be to take a deep breath and know that it will all come together. Even if it doesn’t, no one really cares and you will still be married to your love!

Sure we can say who cares but if we don't even have the money to get the marriage license and certificate at least that's gonna be such a downfall 😕

Hello, Have you thought about moving the wedding further back to give more time? As a Bride you shouldn't be this stressed. Your bridesmaids should be assisting you to make sure your special day is ran smoothly. If it's too late for dresses, maybe the ladies can pick out the color you picked for your wedding in different styles. Prom/formal wear stores has dresses to choose from. With the suits, it's very easy. My wedding is July 22nd. They told my Fiancee to come in May to get fitted.

I know its a lot and trust me it's not easy, but you have to take a day for yourself!!!! Not a day with the Fiancé but a day where you might just want to take a nap, drink, play video games or catch up with Netflix. I'm not getting married until March of next year and sometimes I just want to scream!!! Nothing wrong with pushing the date back. Stay strong LADY!!

Suits are easy! They arrive in 2 weeks. They should just take care of it 1 month before.
Most important thing is your dress, venue, entertainment, photos, and flowers.

I don't know about brides maid dress but I don't think it should take anymore than 1 month?
Take a breath it all will fall into place just check 1 box at a time. My my men don't have suits and my wedding is in 67 days and I think they'll be fine🤣. Just give them deadline to go get measured latest 1 month before.

Hang in there girl! I’m also getting married the beginning of July and was ready to cancel all of it! I was stressed, I was about to settle for just the church ceremony and call it a day. This is your day, try to breathe and focus on everything that has been done. Be firm with wedding party…give them deadlines!! It will all work out and it will be an amazing wedding!!
