I’m so excited!! I am exactly 30 days out for our wedding!! And I just found out my plant I work at (GM Corvette) we are going on a shutdown the week before the wedding (Nov 18th) the week of (Nov 25th) and the week after (Dec 2nd)!! I had vacation planned for the week after for our honeymoon but I no longer have to use that for that week since we will be on “lay-off” so I’ll be using it for the week of Dec 9th! So I’ll have an entire month off! This couldn’t have worked out better for me if I tried! November 30th will be here before I know it!

Yes it is! I was worried I wouldn’t have enough time to pack that Wednesday night to leave out on Thanksgiving but I don’t have to worry about that now. I’m so excited!

Thank you! Yes shutdowns (which we are “laid off” for those weeks so we can get unemployment pay) in auto assembly plants are normal. So that’s why I was excited because we will be on shutdown for 3 weeks.
