3 Months Away!

Shana, on July 10, 2020 at 7:59 PM Posted in Community Conversations 2 12
We are 3 months away from the wedding day which is October 10, 2020. Definately hasn’t been the year we thought it would be but we’ve accepted the situation and are continuing on with our plans. A lot can change in the next few moths but we’ve decided that no matter what our day ends up having to be, we will still get married on our day! So far our venue isn’t restricting anything and all vendors are good to go. We figured this virus could still be the same problem it is now a year from now. We’ve been engaged for 2 years, we’re just ready to be married and start our lives together! Also I don’t think I could deal with the stress of dealing with planning a wedding during a pandemic for much longer. I wish all brides getting married this year luck as well, we will all have our perfect day!

I’m right there with you (10/23 wedding). Us 2020 brides are definitely being thrown monkey wrenches into our plans but will come out stronger from this. Stay strong and stay safe. 💕

We have about 4 months until our November 21st wedding and at this stage we are still proceeding as normal.
Fingers crossed for all of us during this crazy time.

I’ve been feeling so guilty still moving forward with our wedding. 11/21/20 too! A lot can change in 4 months. My views are if people don’t want to come they won’t & we will have an option to stream virtually! We’re in FL (ugh) & have an outdoor venue with family/friends traveling from various parts of the US. I’m mostly worried about my bridal party & immediate family members employers requiring a 14 day quarantine after they travel to FL... some are going as far as not allowing them to use paid time off to quarantine if they have it. Our venue charges a pretty hefty rescheduling fee same as they would non-COVID right now since it’s not mandated. I think we’ll just be handing out wedding hand sanitizers & masks instead of treats & koozies! 😂

Same. We are getting married on September 12th. We have been together for 5 years and engaged for 2. We are getting married in our church and have decided that even if no one comes that we will continue with the activities as planned.

Wow I’m in literally the same boat as you lol. My wedding is on the 16th of October and my fiancé and I have also been engaged for two years. We’re continuing with our plans as of now as well. Are you having any issues with family members saying they’re not sure they’ll attend? We’re currently struggling with this and it’s especially difficult as it’s coming from my fiancé’s brother who is his best man and also his wife is one of my bridesmaids. I’m looking for some support and advice on this situation because I’m really not sure what to do.

Right now all of our bridal party and close friends have no issue attending, our venue is also in a small town that’s had very few cases. I love right outside of Pittsburgh and it’s definately been more of a hot spot but most that we are inviting that also live here don’t seem to mind. Again, a lot could change in 3 months too. We also haven’t had tooo many RSVP back yet so we will just see how it goes! We invited 80 people so already a smaller wedding as well.

Same here! We're October 25th and have a soft date next year of April 3rd. We really are hoping for the best because we really don't want to postpone. I'm completely with you I can't take anymore Covid planning 😩.

We too are continuing on for 10/10 with our venue who so far has done a great job with precautions and they will be temp checking everyone etc.

If for some reason we can't do it at our venue we will still be getting married this year we will just do an anniversary party next year since we've paid so much into everything.
