2Nd Photographer? Help

Hi all. My photographer emailed me this morning and suggested that a 2nd photographer may not be necessary (we did book for this roughly 1 year ago). She has a TON of experience at our venue already and stated that most of the shots they get are the same anyway. She suggested maybe we do away with the second photographer and have her for longer, add an album, or otherwise put our money elsewhere.

I've read through some of the forums here and many people have said they were going with two photographers. Did anyone go with one and find they still got all the shots they wanted? Really I'm just thinking about wanting different perspectives for the ceremony photographs. What's your vote? Do away with 2nd photographer altogether? Maybe get them for just a couple hours with a 2nd shooter and put extra money towards more time?
